Based in E20, Stratford’s East Village plays host to our youngest family member. Mother Kelly’s Stratford stocks only the finest independently brewed beer and also offers a delicious range of craft cider, wine and cocktails. Since opening back in 2019 it has become something of a hub to it’s East Village locals and we are looking for a GM to build on its’ already glowing reputation as a well stocked, friendly, community orientated tap room.

Building a Sustainable and Innovative business
• Identify recruitment needs and take an active role in search and selection activities and the appointment of staff, in line with the company recruitment process, ensuring that all paperwork is correct, completed, and copied to all necessary parties concerned
• Identify and monitor training needs and take an active role in developing people
• Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws

Maintaining Controls and Standards
• Take full responsibility for the results achieved in the pub, including profit and loss (P&L) performance, stock, standards and audits
• Ensure that all operating procedures are adhered to, in line with company policy, ensuring the safety and security of our customers and staff
• Plan all rotas in line with budgeted targets and forecasts
• Manage all delivery processes, including checking in orders, storage, stock rotation, security, loss investigation and staff training
• Be aware and adhere to any local/regional/ health and safety at work regulations
Providing a brilliant experience for our customers
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management, at all times
• Develop and lead a workplace culture focused on delivering an outstanding experience for our customers

In accordance with our government’s latest roadmap it looks like the hospitality industry will be able to reopen and start trading again over the next few months.

We are hopeful that we will be able to open to the public in some capacity, as early as mid April and this means making sure we have a strong team in place for each venue.

Eleven years ago we discovered a derelict wreck on Acton Street and fell in love. Today The Queen’s Head is the oldest jewel in our crown and brimming with great craft beer, incredible scotch, amazing live music (we have incredible jazz musicians come and serenade us twice a week) and bags of charm.
